The Internet Age – the Age of Electronics – has made the world much smaller. It has changed the way many things are done. One of the big changes has come in the field of publishing. Printing books, which at one time – not so long ago -- required a big investment in presses, paper, and personnel, can now be accomplished with a home computer on the kitchen table. In a way we have returned to the pre-printing-press era where rooms full of scribes, sitting at desks, crafted hand written books. Now we have the modern day scribe sitting in front of a computer writing an individual book in electronic format (commonly known as an E-book). Distribution of books has evolved as well in the Internet Age. E-books can now be downloaded to any computer in the world that has an Internet connection. The entire process of writing, sales, and distribution take place in the computer. We have, indeed, come a long way since the Gutenberg press replaced those rooms full of scribes.

Microsoft Chief Executive, Steve Ballmer, in the Washington Post (June 5, 2008, page D01) said: “In the next 10 years, the whole world of media, communications and advertising are going to be turned upside down – my opinion. Here are the premises I have. Number one, there will be no media consumption left in 10 years that is not delivered over an IP network. There will be no newspapers, no magazines that are delivered in paper form. Everything gets delivered in an electronic form in 10 years. Also in the world of 10 years from now, there are going to be far more producers of content than exist today. We’ve already started to see that certainly in the online world, but we’ve just scratched the surface.”

With this change, the day of big publishing houses dictating to writers are on the way out. Writer’s can, by publishing themselves, earn a greater percentage from their labor. Right Brain Press would like to show you how this can be done. A change is at hand, and now is the time to get ahead of the curve and be ready to take advantage of Electronic publishing. Several pages in this web site contain links to products we have found to be helpful in crafting E-books. If you have an interest in publishing your writing in an E-book format, please contact us through the Contact page in this web site.

We are a small, family owned company, but we do have writing and publishing experience. We have written and published several books – two with major publishing houses back in the 1970s. A third book we self published this year, and several of our new line of E-books are in various stages of completion.

Again, we would be interested in talking with you.
